Home, search and favorites
Find and open your apps from the Frontdoor Home page, with search, favorites, tag groups and your own card order.
On this page
Frontdoor is the single starting point for the internal tools you use every day. After you sign in with your Microsoft account, the Home page shows exactly the apps you are allowed to use, and nothing else.
Open the Frontdoor address your organization gave you and select Sign in. You are sent to the Microsoft sign-in page and then back to Home. Your organization may skip the Frontdoor sign-in page and send you straight to Microsoft.
The first time you sign in, Frontdoor creates your account from your Microsoft profile.
Open an app
Select an app's title, icon or description to open it. Depending on how the app is set up, Frontdoor either opens a plain link or signs you in to the app for you.
Some cards show a small badge with the connection type, such as Ext, SSO or Entra. Your administrator decides whether the badges are shown.
When an app has extra details, its card shows an info icon (More information). Select it to read the app's longer description.
Search the catalog
Type in the Search an application... field to filter the catalog by name, slug or description. The counter next to the field shows how many apps match.
If nothing matches, Frontdoor shows No apps found: try a different term.
Select Refresh to reload the app catalog without reloading the browser page.
Mark your favorites
Select the star on a card (Add to favorites) to pin the app to the top of your Home. Select it again to remove it.
Select Favorites in the toolbar to show only your favorite apps. Your favorites are saved to your profile.
Group apps by tag
Select Group to cluster the catalog by tag. Tags are matched without regard to case, so HR and hr land in the same group.
Switch between card and compact view
Use the view buttons in the toolbar to switch between Card view (a grid of cards) and Compact view (a denser list). To make your choice the default every time you open Home, set it in your personal menu.
On phones your administrator can force the compact view. In that case the view button shows Mobile compact.
Reorder your cards
In card view, drag a card by the icon in its top-left corner (Drag to reorder) and drop it where you want it. Your custom order is saved to your profile.
Reordering is not available in compact view: switch to card view, sort your apps, then switch back. You can restore the default order at any time from your personal menu.
Take the guided tour
A short guided tour walks you through search, the catalog, favorites and your personal menu. Select Skip tour to close it. You can restart it whenever you want with Take a tour in your personal menu.
