FRONTDOOR / EN

Video transcript

Across an organisation, every new tool promises speed. Then URLs multiply, permissions diverge, bookmarks go stale, and IT keeps answering the same question: where do I find the right app?

Frontdoor creates one clear way in: simple for people, governable for the teams running IT.

This is Meridian Works’ catalogue: sixteen business applications, organised and described, with owners, tags, and access modes visible at a glance.

Search for security, and Frontdoor brings the relevant tools forward instantly, without asking anyone to remember product names or URLs.

Tags turn the catalogue into a readable map. With favourites, personal ordering, and a compact view, each person can shape their own starting point.

Move from the complete catalogue to everyday apps in seconds. The complexity stays behind the door.

Behind that simplicity is operational control. Administrators manage applications, status, order, and visibility from one console, without chasing spreadsheets or stale wiki pages.

Each record brings together its name, description, icon, destination, groups, and tags. The configuration is explicit: what users see always follows a precise rule.

Users and groups determine who sees what. Technology, operations, finance, or leadership: Frontdoor assembles a relevant catalogue for each group while keeping governance central.

Here, local groups coexist with groups from the directory. Membership and assigned applications are visible in the same place.

Distinct roles separate management, read-only administration, and everyday use, keeping administrative access proportional to each person’s responsibilities.

Elena, the IT owner, sees sixteen applications. Luca, a standard user, sees seven: only those assigned through his groups. One door, relevant for each.

Frontdoor does not impose one integration model. It can open direct links, route through SSO, reach internal resources, reuse a shared session, or delegate authentication to Microsoft Entra.

The outcome is tangible: one click on Signal Ops opens the right operational dashboard. Frontdoor is the entry point; the application keeps doing its job.

Frontdoor records access events with user, application, time, and context. IT can understand real usage and investigate issues faster.

The audit log also tells the story of administrative changes: not only where people enter, but how the configuration changes over time.

Logo, messages, language, theme, and home behaviour are configurable. Frontdoor adapts to the organisation without losing consistency.

Frontdoor is open source and self-hosted. It starts with Docker, keeps data and configuration in your environment, and leaves IT in control of the entry point.

Less time searching. Fewer disconnected access points. One door for the applications that keep the business running. Frontdoor.
